My 2-year-old son and I had a great time decorating the box with crayons, which made it even more special for us. As for the lotion itself, the calming lavender scent is absolutely lovely and after a long day of gardening where my hands felt dry and wrinkly from wearing gloves, I noticed that within just a minute of applying the lotion, those little wrinkles disappeared and my skin felt baby soft. I really love how effective and nurturing this product is! It’s truly impressive that all Polly’s Farm products are handmade by Kim herself on the Mornington Peninsula. It feels super grounding but fresh at the same time. The texture is perfect too- really hydrating without feeling heavy or greasy, and it actually lasts. I love knowing it’s packed with all those nourishing oils like olive, avocado, jojoba and hemp and you can just tell it’s made with care. My skin feels soft and happy, I really love that Polly’s Farm is refreshingly down-to-earth and thoughtful. You can tell straight away that it’s all made with real care- from the handmade products crafted by Kimberley herself on the Mornington Peninsula, to the wild-foraged and homegrown ingredients, it’s all super natural and done with purpose. There’s zero fluff, just honest, plant-based goodness (with the sweetest exception of one goat’s milk soap made using milk from her neighbour’s pet goats- which I find kind of adorable). The sustainability side is also next-level in the best way- recycled PET bottles, compostable mailers and clever touches like including a card with every order that gives fun ideas for reusing your packaging (like turning your soap bag into a jewellery pouch or using wood wool to make a scarecrow- love that!). Even the candles come with seed cards so you can grow thyme once you’ve finished burning them. It just feels like every little detail has been considered, not in a preachy way, but in a really creative, genuine, feel-good way!
