“Mentha spicata” Spearmint has a mild, sweet fragrance and aroma, a little milder than peppermint. The leaves are used to flavor mint jelly, sauces, salads, soups, stews, curries, rice, meat, fish and vegetables dishes. Spearmint is also an ingredient in several mixed drinks, such as the mojito and mint julep. Precautions: None known.
