Emma Freeman Sometimes a scent speaks to you straight away and this was one of those rare, immediate connections. There’s a real narrative unfolding in this fragrance- it feels layered and intimate. The sweetness of blood orange and juniper is balanced so beautifully by the earthier, anchoring notes of patchouli, geranium and oakmoss. It’s not overpowering, but empowering. A joy to wear. It’s clear this brand is going to great lengths to tread lightly and respectfully. I really appreciate the use of recyclable and refillable glass bottles, reclaimed fabric pouches and compostable packaging. The fact that many ingredients are grown on their own farm and that they use solar and rain-harvested water, speaks to a high level of integrity. I also value their support for social enterprises and charities- there’s a strong sense of care running through the way they operate.Amy Starr What a phenomenal scent. It has such a moreish quality that kept me coming back. When I’d smell it left on a scarf or jacket, it would remind me all over again how unique and magical a fragrance it is. The simple packaging belies the beauty inside- in some ways, I think it had me underestimate how addictive it would be. It is somehow earthy, but musky and spicy and powdery all at the same time and it just inexplicably works. There’s a lovely element of intentionality woven into every aspect of this brand. Their policies have an incredible breadth and depth. That some ingredients are even self-grown is such a beautiful approach. I found the scent had good staying power, which is impressive when using natural ingredients in perfume. There seems to be a lot of detail into packaging, social initiatives and ingredient sourcing. It’s also impressive to hear that they are utilising ingredients that they have grown themselves.
